As former CEO Youth Focus NW where I worked for 16 years I retain a passion for youth work and in particular Youth Voice. I was instrumental in the setting up the Greater Manchester Youth Combined Authority with young people to ensure their voices are heard. I sought to improve health care for young people through their engagement with the GM Health and Social Care Partnership and sat on the Children’s Health and Wellbeing Executive Board.
Always innovating I played a role in the development of Youthforia, the youth led North West Youth Forum. Working in a range of youth work organisations for over 40 years in urban and rural settings, in the statutory and voluntary sectors, locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. I was the lead associate developing the Youth Work Curriculum for England on behalf of the National Youth Agency. I have an interest in impact measurement, strategy development, training and organisational development.
